Hi, Diane.
Is there a way to suppress the message in the statusbar at the bottom left
saying "Run Query" and hiding the blue "timer bar"?
Yes. Remove the status bar. Select the Tools -> Startup... menu to open
the Startup dialog window. Uncheck the "Display status bar" check box and
close the dialog window. This setting will take effect the next time that
this database opens.
If you are wondering about a way to do this programmatically, you can, but
be aware that it will take effect the next time this database opens, so you
might as well do it manually with the menu. One cannot turn it off then turn
it back on during the same session to selectively suppress the status bar
just for these "Running query..." indicators.
HTH.
