Is there a way in Word XP to diable printing, copying,
saving a document?

We have a Word document we want to send outside the
office, we do not want the recipient to be able to print,
copy, change, save, or save as the document. We only want
them to be able to view the document.
Is there a way in Word to do this?

AFAIK, no.

You can do this if you use Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF file for
sending out (with the appropriate security settings). However, even PDF
is not 100% secure as there are reportedly ways to crack it's security
(I don't know what these ways are nor how easy to crack), and anyone
viewing the document on the screen can always screen-print it to a
printer or other computer file ... or photograph.

Weigh up the risks vs. the costs to control those risks.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Anything you allow a user to see can be copied. Conversion to secure PDF,
for which you will need extras softeware, will inhibit casual
copying/printing etc.
