I find OUTLOOK too much of a hassle and only use OUTLOOK EXPRESS.

Can I delete OUTLOOK without jeopardising the use of OEXPRESS?

If so...how please?

Thanks

MM

Outlook Express is part of IE. Outlook is part of Microsoft Office. If you
don't want to use Outlook, remove all profiles from it.

Great quick reply...thanks

I'm afraid I do not understand your 'how'

Can you simplify for me please?

MM

you can uninstall outlook from Add/Remove programs - or just delete the
shortcuts from your desktop and menus.

Look for Microsoft Outlook if you want to uninstall. You can go in through
your control panel to mail and remove the profiles from Outlook there.

Thanks KO

Did exactly as you said, removed profile.

OUTLOOK still appears in the 'All Programs' list so I am guessing that your
method merely denies access to OUTLOOK.

I tried to delete OUTLOOK from that list (right click) but am advised that
this only removes icon, not the program; it is this that I would like to do
since I have no use for it so see no point in keeping it.

As I said above, I could not see OUTLOOK in Add/Remove list, I guess it is
in MS Office suite for which an option is shown to remove the whole
lot...rather defeats my aim!

Would appreciate any further advice you can offer.

Thanks

MM

Select Microsoft Office and click Change. You should be given a choice to
"Add or Remove Features". Click Next, then click on the little picture of
the disk in fron of Outlook and change it to an X (i.e., Not Available).

Thanks BT

That instruction meets my level of understanding perfectly. Very grateful
for all advices. Thanks.
