I want to disable the macromedia flash player and have it
run either with a prompt or only when I want it to run.
I'm getting fed up with more and more ads using the flash
player to by past the other anti ad software.
most of this is on yahoo, but other sites are starting to
use it as well.

I dont know that you can do this with the plugin. You could of course
uninstall Flash altogether if you dont want the ads. I would check with
Macromedia and see what they have to say in their support forums.

I sent an e-mail to them, so far no response
can you give me the url for their forums, I have been to
the site but can't find the forums..

Hi

Macromedia Online Forums
http://www.macromedia.com/support/forums/

You have also the macromedia.flash newsgroup:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=lang_en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&group=macromedia.flash

Looking at
How to remove the Macromedia Flash Player ActiveX control
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/control_remove.htm

I would think that this would disable Macromedia Flash:

regsvr32 %windir%\System32\Macromed\Flash\flash.ocx /u

and this will enable it again:

regsvr32 %windir%\System32\Macromed\Flash\flash.ocx
