Disable Autosave

How do I disable autosave in Excel 2000 once it has been
enabled? Every time I turn it off in Tools/Autosave, it
turns itself back on. Not a major problem but it is
frustrating.

I don't like it.

It saves at times I don't want to save and it kills the Undo stack.

Maybe the best thing to do is to just remove it from Tools|addins (uncheck it).

It won't even load then.
