Hi, I'm having a couple of WinXP machines.
How can I disable the automatic locking of the machines when they are idle
so that the "Workstation Locked" dialog never appears?

Thanks

Right click desktop, properties, screen saver tab, uncheck the password
protect or use welcome screen setting.

XP auto lock out when idle

I also have this issue of auto lock out (somedays it acts up more so than others!)...and my screensaver is NOT password protected. I disabled the screensaver altogether. Let's see what happens next.

I found the solution to my problem. Maybe this will help someone else! Right click on the screen and go to Properties. Go to the Screensaver tab. If you do not have a password protected screensaver...In Monitor power below Screensaver, click on box for Power. I chose "Never" for Turn Off Monitor. Click on Advanced tab. Uncheck box for "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" Click on tab for Hibernate. Make sure Enable hibernation is unchecked.
