Disable auto insert notification and DMA

I want to upgrade the firmware for my CD burner and to do so it says to
disable auto insert notfication and DMA. I know exactly what these things
are, but how do I disable them?

On the Start - Run line,
Type: services.msc
Scroll down and look for Auto insert notifications,
double click and set to disable.

Click the following address and scroll down to line 302 for DMA
deactivation.
