I have a need to disable the default advance on mouse click behavior on a
large number of powerpoint files. Is there any way to do this without
changing the slide transition option in each individual presentation?

Thanks,

Joel,

I guess someone could write a vba macro that could do this. Unfortunately I do not know how.

You could try recording a "macro" in powerpoint yourself. to simply turn off the "advance on mouseclick" option on the
slide transition window.

Another option....(but would probably create more trouble) is "slideshow menu" > "setup show" >"kiosk mode". This will
stop all advance on mouse clicks.... but you will have to provide the user with some way of advancing through the show
with "action buttons"

Set the Slide Show to Kiosk. Without the advance on mouse click, you will have
to ensure that you provide all navigation via automatic transitions or links to
action settings.

Go to slide sorter view and press Ctrl+A to select all slides.
Then make the change you want to Advance on Mouse Click.

Click Apply to All.

I'd do this on a copy of your real file until you've tested it and found that
it works to your satisfaction.
