I teach in a high school computer lab and utilize software
to limit internet access but students can work around it
by typing URL in address bar from My Computer. Any ideas
how to remove/disable address bar.

There are more than a few ways to access the internet including url links in things
like Word documents. I think your best approach would be to disable network access to
the internet. This could possibly be done at your firewall/router or by disabling the
default gateway on their computers If the computers are XP Pro then ipsec filtering
policies can be implemented to block access to the internet. All this assumes they
are not local administrators or have the ability to become one easily if they can
boot from a floppy, etc. --- Steve

That's why most companies install a password protected proxy to the
internet. Those who have a valid proxy account can access the network and
internet, those without can only access the network.
