Hi, I am using XP Pro. I reformatted, and everything was working fine, when i
used to start up my computer, it goes directly to my desktop, I do not have
to click on my User Account, which is the only one there. However, it has now
automatically changed it, perhaps in an update, so that I have to click on my
user account to go to my desktop before getting there. Please help me solve
this problem. I would like to have it like I did before.

Windows XP Auto Login

You can configure Windows XP to automate the logon process if your
computer is not part of a domain. Computers configured in a business
environment generally have a domain and for those machines the option
"Users must enter a username" does not appear because a password must
be given to access the local area network or domain.

1. Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2. This is
a shortcut instead of having to click on Start -> Control Panel -> User
Accounts.
2. Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this
computer" check box.
3. Click Apply.
4. Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on
with, and then click OK.
5. Click OK again and you're all done.

This feature allows other users to start your computer and use the
account that you establish to automatically log on. Enabling auto logon
makes your computer more convenient to use, but can pose a security
risk since anyone can just turn the machine on and access your files.

Thank you chris, One more question, are there cons for doing this?
I heard that you cannot bring up task manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del if you
deselect this option.
Please fill me in.

Andy first of all i want to thank you for trying to help but a minute ago i
almost felt like killing you. I could not start up my computer in normal or
safe mode earlier, but then an error came up that let me start in safemode
somehow and i undid the tweakui options and started up fine.

I almost just lost everything, without having a system restore backup.

Do you have a user account named (ASPNET)? If so check out this link it may
apply to your problem.

Here is the beginning explanation from the page. Go to the link below to get
the details.

Hope it helps.

"The aspnet_wp or ASP.NET Machine Account is created when the Microsoft .Net
Framework 1.1 is installed onto a Windows XP computer. The user is created
to run the asp.net worker process used in Microsoft's Internet Information
Services, which allows ASP.net to run on your local web server (This is
pretty much its only use, it is not used to run normal .net managed
executables). There is not a need to worry about this user's presence; it
was not created in malicious way. "

Sherman I bow down to you.
Thank you so much, it was such an easy fix, GOD I WAS SO STUPID.
