Directx 9.c installation in Windows xp sp1

i just got the nero 7 trial edition and the power dvd 7 . whenever i
tried to install them , they are showing an error report showing to
install directx9.0b then i downloaded the directx9.0c from MS and
installed it on my Pc. but still the problem exist and i cant be able
to install those software. please help me to rid out of this one,

Unfortunately - the support for installing Nero will have to come from aHead
Software.

Similar situation for PowerDVD.. The support will have to come from
Cyberlink.
