According to our sources, Microsoft will release DirectX 9.0 on Wednesday. More information as it becomes available. We'll have download links and such tomorrow. I also plan on posting a few benchmarks in order to show the performance increases. In the meantime, you can still check out the DirectX site.
Finally, we'll be able to run those ATi and nVidia demos for their latest-gen video cards.
[Update] Our sources were off by a few days, but it's finally available for download. Gave my rig 200 points extra in 3dmark, but most are reporting almost no gains. Haven't heard of it messing up anyone's boxes either, so it's probably worth the download, especially if you have a Radeon 9500 or 9700 and want to check out those cool DX9 demos. The download link is a little higher up, so check it out.
