DirectCD was a part of the Roxio Version 5 software.
XP was the last OS that this version worked on.
Roxio has new software that does work on Vista, but the features of DirectCD are now called "Drag
and Drop".
You will have to buy this software.

Anyone have a version of DirectCD that works with Vista?
The native packet writing SW is just too SLOW !!!
Ten times slower than DirectCD running on XP.

Let me know if you are able to load DirectCD on Vista and where I could get
the SW.

Thanks.

I just came across a problem and wonder if upgrading to the New Roxio sw
will fix it. I had a CD w/a couple of viseos and pics. on it. It was
created on XP Pro. I went to display it on a Vist Bus. pc. It said it
needed to install a Viewer. So I clicked ok. On reboot I get msg. the
driver is blocked because it is not campatible.
I have tried doing sys. restore to remove it w/no success. I sent a
note off to Roxio as well. Will just installing Roxio 10 take care of
this?

Upgrading to 10 will do it.
