Direct X 9.0

What is Direct X 9.0? How do I go about obtaining it or
should it already be on my computer?

Start | Run | Type: dxdiag | OK
This will open DirectX.
When it opens it will show the version; 9.0b is the latest.

Run Windows Update. If you don't already have DX 9, it will be offered as a
download. While you're there, be sure to download any critical updates that
are offered.
