digital signatures

I currently have Word 2000 and want to know if and how you can apply Digital
Signatures to file, e.g., forms, letters, etc? Supposedly we are going to
upgrade to Office 2003 but who knows when.

Theoretically any VBA project can have a Dig Signature attached, but
it is only used for assessing whether macros can run or not.
