Don't know how to explain this well. Here goes. When I go to my computer
and on 'C' drive click Folders to expand the list on the left hand side. I
then click on a folder I have named Digital Pics then when I open one of the
sub folders and the files are listed on the right hand side. If I look at
the bottom right hand corner of the screen there appears to be some sort of
icon which is tilted to one side and looks as if it has a globe within a
rectangle. I have only noticed this today. The only thing I have done
today is pres the Fn & F6 keys to lower the brightness of the display. Can
anyone explain how to get rid of it if it isn't meant to be there.

Is the icon in question in the taskbar notification area? If so, what
does it reveal about itself if you hover the mouse over it or right
click on it?

No its not in the taskbar at all. Its just above it. It only appears when
I open folders that have pictures in them. I have just noticed that there
are also two smaller versions one is alongside the title Picture tasks in
the left hand frame, where you can tell it if you want to view as a slide
show etc. In that one there is a circle with a red design on it on a blue
background. The bigger ones remind you of a pumpkin with a face carved out.
They are look almost 'transparent' and just seem to blend in to the screen.
Paranoid as I am I have run a virus checker and it was fine, but as I said
it only appears in folders that are opened with pics in.

I see what you mean. Don't worry - all of these are normal. I can
see what you are describing on my screen

Hi John
Do you know John it must have been there all the time and I'd never noticed
it!! Probably because I had so much else going wrong and having to sort
that. Now everything is running................no I'm not going to say it!!
Lets just say I'm starting to be able to explore more now and I bet that's
why I now am taking notice of things that have been there all along.
Thanks.
