Digital Camera Movie Clips

How do I get my video clips I record on my digital camera on to Windows Movie Maker. They are .mov files when they are loaded onto the computer from my digital camera. So I can not view them in WMM. What do I need to do in order to view and edit my movie clips ? Thanks in advance
 
Convert the MOV files to AVI... see the Imorting Source Files > Video > MOV
