Dig Cam will not install..HELP

Ok, here's the story….! I bought my daughter a new digital camera for
Christmas and she can't get her computer to recognize its existance.
Now for the details. The camera is a Fuji A303, 3.2 mp. Her computer
is running Win XP/Pro, Asus A7S333 MB, 512 ram and AMD 1800 processor.
We went into her Bios setup and the USB legacy is set to auto. MY
computer is identical to hers and when I plugged this same dig cam
into my machine, it self installed it almost immediatley. She has
installed the Fuji software that came with cam and all that stuff.
What is the problem??? I have searched all the help routes and still
cannot come up with why hers will not accept this cam but my machine
will. Anybody got an idea??????

The USB Port may be bad. Change ports and try again. Make sure you turn the system off then connect it and reboot. If this doesn't work go to Device manager in the sytem folder in the control panel and see if there are any errors listed. Hope this helps

Yes, the USB port may be bad. Do any other USB devices work on the same
port?

Also, Microsoft has an update for USB for Windows XP. YOu might try
installing that patch to see if it helps.

Did you ever figure out your digi cam problem? If so, let me know, I am experiencing the same. I ran the software that it came with, it meets all requirements on my computer, but as soon as I go to download pics, I get a pop up that Windows does not recognize the device. I have a digital camera/web cam device. Let me know ASAP

Stil no luck in solving my problems with the dig cam. I am stil
looking for answers.
If you figure it out, let me know.
