Different Names, Same Folder

When I open Windows Explorer there is a folder named "My Documents"
and a folder named "<My Name>'s Documents". The later is just a system
short cut to the former. Very confusing to my DW and I must admit
somewhat confusing to me. Is there some way to eliminate one of these
references to the same folder?

Do not try.

I suspect you could call it Windows Flexibly. As you noted, its just a
shortcut.
