different between hibernate and sleep

hibernation writes all the data from the ram to the disk and closes the
computer 100%

sleep puts the computer in a low powered state (how low depends on your
hardware) so it does still use some power to keep the data on the ram
chips...

sleep thus is faster to recover, because the data is still in the ram while
hibernation involves reading the data from the disk again and loading it
into ram.

I must add that sleep also writes the ram data onto disk in case a power
failure....

its not the same as standby (the old way that XP had) since it combines
features of standby and hibernation.

If sleep also write ram to disk, then hpw come that the recovery is faster
than hibernate?

it keeps it in the ram AND writes it to disk

if all is normal it uses the ram of course

if the power goes off at least it has the saved ram state to use.
