Hi All:

I have a form with a tab-control with multiple tab pages. On one of the
tabs, I have some textbox controls and buttons, and a subform on the same
page, directly following the controls. Think of the tab-page as a rectangle,
divided into 2 parts/rectangles - the top half with the controls I mentioned,
and the bottom half with the sub-form.

I'd like to have a different background color for the bunch of controls at
the top half of the page to distinguish them from the subform in the bottom
half.

I already have the controls on the page, and I tried adding a rectangle,
label, textbox around these controls; and played around with the background
color and back style properties to try and achieve the desired effect,
without success.

One option would be to put the bunch of controls on a new form, and add that
new form as a sub-form on the tab page. But, I would rather do that only if
there are no other easier options.

Will appreciate any help/pointers on this.

Thanks.

A solid colored Box positioned behind those controls should work. What
happened when you tried that?

You mean a Rectangle or a textBox? I was unable to view the controls behind
the rectangle when I added it to the form. How do I bring the hidden controls
to the front, while keeping the solid color?

A rectangle. Create a solid rectangle, position over the area you want, make
sure its on the TabPage and not just the form, and then use...

Format
- Send to Back

....to position it behind your existing controls instead of in front of them.

Thanks Rick. That worked beautifully. I wasn't aware of the option under
Format.
