could someone please tell me some of the main differences in Word 2003 from
2000? I've noticed Mail Merge is very different as well as picture handling
(having to use a canvas). Thank you.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?U2tpcHBlcg==?=,

You don't HAVE to use a canvas; it can be turned off.

"Track changes" has been changed quite a bit.

There are new protection options that give you a lot more flexibility than the
old form fields.

Things are generally more stable, and there's the new document recovery that
does a pretty good job of saving a lot of your work when Word does crash.

Speech recognition. Task panes for various things. Table and Numbering
"styles". XML support.
