"Difference from" pivot table custom calculation

When I try to use this function for a data area with 3 numerical columns I keep getting #N/A and I've been unable to figure out how to use this function. I'm also not clear on what appears in the Base items area. (e.g. previous, next and sometimes numbers that I don't know what they represent. If anyone can help me out I would sure appreciate that.

What function are you using? It sounds like you are
missing something in the function you are trying to use.
If an add-n is required to use that function, did you
validate it is loaded?
