I have a request for my resume that I have on Works, but
the recipient insists on word. What is the digfference
and will Works work the same as Word?

All versions of Word can open documents created in some (but not all)
versions of Works, but you should be able to save from Works in a format
that is readable by Word (Word 6.0 or RTF).

Hi Paul,

To add to Suzanne's reply, MS Works wordprocessor
(in MS Works *Suite* Word is available) may layout
things differently than Word would for the same
document. Since this is your resume that change
can be very important to you.

If you save the file in .RTF format from Works
you can open it in MS Windows Wordpad
(Start=>Programs=>Accessories) and review
it or change it and save in Word v6 format
from there. While Wordpad doesn't have all of
Word's features it should be a 'safer' layout
for checking before you send your resume in.
