I have XP. I had 150+ files in a briefcase on the desktop.
I accidently uppdated and deleted all the files. I need to
get them back. I tried system restore with no success. Is
their any way to get the files back?

Please Help!

System restore doesn't bring back deleted files, as you found out. If they
are not in the recycle bin to be restored, you are pretty much out of luck.
There are companies that will attempt to recovere deleted files, but be
preparted to pay a big price.

Do not use your computer until you try to recover them! Deleted files
are not actually removed from the disk. The names are removed from the
directory and their space marked as available but often you can recover
alot if you don't use the system to overwrite them. Try these free
programs:

Executive Software “Undelete”:
