I am trying to create a dialog box that allows the user to selct a date from
a calender. If this is not possible, is there a way to format the box to only
accept a specific date format?

There are 2 easy to access built in calendars. To get at them bring up the
Control Toolbox (Tools | Customize | Toolbars | Control Toolbox). On that
toolbar there is an icon that looks like a hammer and wrench. Selecting this
gives you a drop down. Select either the Microsoft Date & Time picker (my
favorite) or the Microsoft MonthView control. When first added the sheet will
be in design mode. Right click on the control and select properties. Put a
cell address in the Linked Cell Property. Close the properties window. To
exit design mode click the icon that looks like a ruler and triangle.

Jim,

The two solutions you sited sound great. However, I am not finding
either in the drop-down list from the control toolbar. Are these options
standard built ins or do I need to download from Microsoft? I am using XP
Professional. Thanks for your help.
