The dialog boxes in many of my programs are now too small
and don't allow me to see and access all the options in
the box. It is like if the window of some dialog box is
of a fix size and cannot be expanded. eveerything was
fine before Solutions?
..

I have a similar problem that I would like help with... Norton System works options dialog boxes asn installation diag. bxs of several different products were so small that no buttons and very little text appears-- I gor a short work-around from Scansoft tech support but would prefer to hack registry etc to change this behavior.

Sorry this interesting viewer kicked me off b4 I could give the skinny on
that work-around...just creat another user account in win xp- but make sure
it is an administrator account... then log onto it and do your stuff- dosent
solve the problem but sometimes gets you where you need to be-- any REAL
solutions would be appreciated!! DD

I have had the same annoying problem for some time :- Bottom Lines of text
missing in window dialogue box. I would really like to find how to correct
this bug.

Using XP Build 2600 xpsp2.030422-1633 (this is still service Pack 1 )

I have also found this . . . but it doesn't cure my problem :-

I don't know if I did something to make this happen or
not; using XP Pro - first noticied it in Outlook 2003 -
when I openend the Tools - Options or any sub menu item in
any program, the text does not fit in the active window
and there is no way to resize or scroll. I am sure it is
something simple - help please.

This happens where the programmer has defined the size of the window in
inches, and the number of actual dots your screen uses per inch is not
what it expected. Go to Control Panel - Display - Settings and click
Advanced. Try different sizes of the DPI setting - probably increasing
it for a large screen. On Apply you will see the effect on the Display
dialog itself.

You may then need to go to the Appearance page, again Advanced, and in
Item select text 'items' like Icon size, Title bar and Menu , and adjust
the 'points' size for them to compensate

Did anyone ever get an answer to this question. Same problem. The only time I
really have it (which is often) is in dialog boxes in IE. Very annoying and I
cannot get my work done on my laptop at all b/c of it.
