Dialing Rules For Sending Fax By Long Distance

I am using U.S. Robotics Fax Modem with Windows xp home edition.
When I send a fax long distance it sends it to my personal fax machine.
Also I can only send a fax to one local company.
When I use the dialing rules for long distance the number shows as this
+1 888 611 0118
I recieve faxes without a problem
 
You still have not answered the questions I asked.
Do not connect your home fax machine to the same phone line as your modem
when you are trying to send faxes.
The Windows XP Fax service will not process dialing rules unless the phone
number to which you are sending the fax is in "international format" or
"canonical format". Details on how to use international format to invoke
dialing rules are available here:
