Hi

I used dialup internet until about 6 months ago when I switched to
broadband, and all was cool.

I just installed software for a USB wifi connector to allow a handheld game
to connect to the net through the PC's internect connection (working
successfully).

However, now when I open a web client (outlook express, IE7 etc.), I get a
popup asking what dialup connection I wish to use. I simply cancel - no
problems connecting to the web. There is a check box that says in effect
"don't ask again until next time I log on", but I want to kill this
permanently.

Any idea what's going on, and what can be to resolve this?

Thanks in advance,

Try in Internet Explorer: Tools >> Internet Options >> Connections. Then
remove any dialup settings from "Dial-up and Virtual Private Network
Settings"
