I bought an old IBM Pentium III 667 MHz for my son and I cannot get the
Internet working.
It was dial up and I have cable. I put a new NIC card in and took out the
old modem.
What did I miss doing It is seen in Device Manager. I might give it back
but he would want dial up put back on since he is in country.
What can I( do in the interim to get cable Internet? And back to dial-up if
need be?
Good poser for thanksgiving? No I am not drunk?
Thanks for any help It is running XP Pro on it too.

Select the Properties on the NIC and make sure that TCP/IP is set to
obtain IP and DNS addresses automatically. That should help.
