Recently my computer has to "redial" to connect to my server. Access company
says there's no problems with the server although only one telephone number
serves our entire area. They said it may be a telephone problem, although
our calls from land phone have no problems and this happens on 2 different
computers!

Any thoughts on this problem?

Typical dial-up behaviour with ISPs who have overworked,
outmoded or inadequate equipment. for the increased traffic of
todays world. Our ISP is one of the worst, especially during the
daytime hours.

Will go highspeed soon...getting tired of paying for lousy
sevice.

as said, tr y another ISP

But in teh UK, dialup ISPs are free, charge is local call. So many
numbers are listed online You just need a number with user/pass.

In the US, local calls are free. So aren't there ISPs just offering
their numbers with user/pass
