Hi,

I encounter this issue when i upgrade windows 2000 pro to
win xp pro. when i was using win 2000, i can use my adsl
usb modem (Prolink Hurricane 8000) to access internet but
after i upgrade to win xp, i fail to do so. i try to use
the connect to internet wizard but found that it greys
out the options for dial-up networking plus broadband
connection with username and password and i cannot only
tick always on broadband connection. Anyone can help?

Thanks

Hi,

Make sure that you have the updated drivers for the modem for Windows XP. Some devices need updated drivers to work in XP. Go to device manager and then remove the modem and reinstall it again with the updated drivers.

Now you will be able to use modem for dialup connections in XP.
