I'm using a dial-up modem. Lately, I've had trouble
getting online. My ISP says to check Dial-Up Network in
Windows Components Wizard and make sure "Communications"
is checked. Unfortunately, I don't have "Communications"
in the Wizard. Short of reinstalling XP, how can I get it?
Thanks. (Obviously, I do manage to get online, but it's a
hassle.)

What is your problem/indication getting on line? I don't think your ISP gave
you any help at all.

.
When I first boot and click to connect, the modem has to
redial maybe 2 or 3 times; also, at other times, it will
say that it is connected to the modem and then say it
isn't. Eventually, I'll get on. Internally, I'll get the
error message from the ISP saying to check the dial-up
network and sends me to the Windows Components Wizard. As
I said, I don't have "Communications" showing.
