Dial Up Connection

For the past few days after I have logged onto the
internet the dial up connection box appears and dials up
again. This can happen quite often.
I have checked the settings and they are ok.
Could you please advise me what could be causing this and
how to resolve it?

You can try this...

Simultaneously press the Windows key (the one with the flag) and the N
key. Click VIEW NETWORK CONNECTIONS.

In the menu bar click on ADVANCED|DIAL UP PREFERENCES, and put a checkmark
in the "disable dial while I am logged on" box.

Perform a scan looking for spyware using updated ad-aware and spybot:
