Everytime that I start up my laptop, a window pops up that has a "+" sign
icon and says diagnostic traces. In the message it states that diagnostic
traces are active.. The only option the window gives is to click ok.... What
is this and why is it popping up all of a suddon.... Also, how do I get it to
stop? Thanks, Rach
P.S. I'm at work and I thought to try and look it up during down time, my
laptop is not with me...

When does the "diagnostic traces" window show up - when you first start
the computer and before the operating system loads or directly after
the Windows operating system loads?

If the former, contact the laptop mftr.'s tech support. If the latter:

1. Make sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free:

2. If the machine is clean, do clean-boot troubleshooting to determine
what is starting with Windows:
