Hi, I recently replaced my DVD Writer with a newer model,
but I forgot to delete the driver of the old one before I
replaced it. Now since I don't have it anymore, I can't
get it to show in the device manager because the drive
isn't in, it just shows the driver for my otehr drive,
and for the replacement DVD Writer. Is it still
installed? If so, am I able to uninstall it? How does
this work. I mean how when you disconnect a device the
driver won't show in the device manager? I know I didn't
write this very well so I apologize.

Thanks!

Devices such as hard drives, cd roms and dvd writers use a
generic windows driver which is automatically
added/removed when the device is connected/disconnected.

However, software such as nero or easy cd creator may need
to be reinstalled or set up to use the new drive

Thanks for the info.
