device driver problems

My computer crashes/restarts often. I upgraded from 98
to XP, and the problems started. It always happens while
I'm playing Spider Solitaire - the sound goes out, then
when I finish the game and click to exit the game, the
computer restarts itself. The window comes up to send an
error report to Microsoft, and it's always a device
driver problem. However, I've updated all my drivers
that I can, and haven't installed new hardware, so I
don't know what the deal is. Perhaps my CPU is not wired
to run XP (not fast enough)? Anyone else have this
problem? This happened before, and the restarts begin to
pile up till my whole computer freezes and won't start at
all! I had to reformat everything already once. Now
it's starting up again and I don't want to have to go
through that again, since it obviously didn't solve the
problem. Any help would be appreciated! - tracy

I am having the same difficulties and XP needs digitally
signed drivers. The only driver that is not signed on my
system is the ACPI (the first in the hardware device
management) I also have sent all the reports and I will
be contacting MS for an answer for this because it is
aggravating. You might want to check all of your devices
to see which driver is not digitally signed by MS and that
might help you get answers.

start---run---sigverif then click advance----search tab--"look for orther
files that are not digitally signed" select "include sub folders" then
browse to c:\windows\systeem32\drivers click ok twice then start see list
of unsigned drivers.

Well, I am having the same problem with Device driver
errors. I'm stuck in the DVD-CD Driver dialogue box. I
tried to set region 1 (USA) and it will not allow it nor
will it let me get out of the device manager sectin.
Awghhh!
