This may be more appropriate for another forum, so if it is, just point
me in the right direction.

I'd like to know if there is a way to determine the BIOS version of a
given computer WITHOUT rebooting and entering the BIOS at boot. In other
words, is there some utility within XP that will display the BIOS
version?

TIA,

Hi Doug,

Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Information.

Then click on System Summary in the left part of the window (The title
of the tree).

Best regards,

XP lists the bios manufacturer and type, not the version of the bios
specific to the motherboard.

XP does, however, keep proper system time if one is prepared to care
about these things!! Jonny, you need to make better use of internet
time to sync your system time!!
