detecting proxy settings

When I click on Internet Explorer, it takes a while to
load for the first time, and at the bottom it
says "Detecting proxy settings..." I never had this
problem before, is there a way I can stop that from doing
it?
 
Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, LAN
Settings. Uncheck Automatically Detect Settings. This
will stop you from detecting the proxy server. If you use
a proxy server, make sure that you have it set up in your
Proxy Server settings.
