Control panel - Accessibility options - Sounds tab
See if any of the options are checked

Hi

Some sounds have mysteriously appeared in my XP. I have selected "none" for
3-4 of my XP events, such as start XP, close XP, and but other than that I
have made no changes. Now I have a double clicking sound when I close a
window or program and a zipping sound when I minimize a window or program.
I've tried to assign "none" to these events in control panel>sounds and
audio devices>sounds but XP says there are no sounds assigned to these
events. Also, when I go through the menu of Windows sounds the new sounds
aren't even there! I've also tried resetting the sound scheme to Windows
default but the sounds are still assigned to these same events. Please can
someone offer a solution to getting rid of these annoying sounds.

Thanks

Harry

Hi

Why should this be a factor?
