i have this folder that shows up on my desktop. i have not been able to
figure out what it is, nor can i open it.


this folder is very small, like a mini folder.
how to find out what it is? then remove it

Try right-clicking the folder and selecting Properties. What, if anything,
does the Target box have in it?

Hi

Yes, but what is in the 'Target:' box? It would normally be highlighted
after selecting Properties. What you should see is a path to where the icon
is associated in Windows Explorer.
