Can a second desktop be created? Currently I have only a few open locations
on my desktop and if I add the other programs that I need to use I will not
have any room on the desktop to show the Icon.

Nope, Windows doesn't do multiple desktops. You /could/ create a second
user account and use fast user switching.......

Then you need to do some pruning of icons. I can't believe that you have
a desktop crammed with icons that you use ALL THE TIME.

Yeah, you know how they do it @ microsoft.

The "Appearance" tab of "Display"properties>Advanced (button) allows you
to decrease the size of Icons. [use the dropdown list] You can also lower
the vertical and horizontal spacings. Shorten shortcut names if needed.
