Where do I find the folder that shows all the programs when clicking "start,
All programs" from the desktop? I have found some under c\documents and
settings\all users but they don't appear to be compleat.

I would like to sort them into folders to cut down on the number displayed.
i.e. Graphics folder which would include the shortcuts for all the graphic
programs.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the folder profile that you're currently logged into, inside that
folder you should see "Start Menu"

That will contain start menu items that are custom to the current profile
you're logged into, but not what is in "All Users"

Some are found in the Programs folder when you Right click your Start button then left
click Open then double click the Programs folder. Some are found when you Right click
your Start button then left click Open All Users then double click the Programs folder.
My Start menu items list is very short. My most often used programs have desktop
shortcuts which I access from the Desktop Toolbar (an optional toolbar for accessing
desktop shortcuts/icons from the taskbar, which is created by right clicking the taskbar
left clicking toolbars and left clicking to add a check to Desktop). That way my
frequently used programs are accessed without having to go back to the desktop itself.
All I have to do is left click the double chevron to the left of Desktop on the taskbar.
I have created folders for less frequently used software such as a Graphics folder for all
graphics programs, a Utilities folder, a Comm folder, etc. and dragged all pertinent
shortcuts and folders into them after accessing the Programs folders as detailed above
(you can create new folders by right clicking on an empty area in that Programs folder
window and then left clicking New/Folder, naming the new folder, and then dragging other
folders and/or shortcuts onto it, which will put them into that new folder, thus
consolidating your Start menu and making it more utilitilitarian).

Thanks so much!
