I have hidden several folders by checking `hidden`in properties. However I
have noticed that other desktop users can uncheck this to reveal the files.
Is there a way to sort this?

If you are not using NTFS for the filesystem all accounts
will have equal control over every file and folder.
If you use NTFS you can control this, although you also
do not need to use the hidden attribute, but can instead
use NTFS permissions to control access to file content
(which I assume is why you were hidding them).
