You need to tell us if this line appears in Windows only
(in which case it could be a Windows issue) or if it
appears at boot time too (in which case it is a hardware
issue).

Depending upon the age of the monitor, it could be a problem with the screen
itself.. try another monitor on the computer if you can..

If you see the same line after booting with a bootdisk then either the
monitor or video card is bad.

This is a laptop. Line only in windows.
