Desktop Resolution

I keep my desktop resolution at 1024x768. When I restart, however, it
returns me to 800x600. This occurs each time I restart. My videocard is an
ATI Radeon 8500. I have the latest drivers.

In the Display applet in Control Panel, check your monitor's refresh
rate. Perhaps it is set too high and it cannot provide a 1024x768
resolution at that refresh rate.
