desktop problem

Desktop background has been taken over by a software add....and the link to
it does not work.....but cant remove it....did the restore and that worked
for a few minutes then the add took over the desktop background again. Have
searched it out and deleted all that i could but will not let me delete two
files....im thinking they are the problem......any help would be much
apreciated!

try this: go to control panel, select appearance and themes, change desktop
background, customize desktop, under "desktop items" select web tab at top,
delete unwanted web page(s). I had the same problem and this worked for me.
