For some reason, my Desktop image refuses to display. I've tried setting one
as wallpaper, tried defaulting the theme, restarting the theme service. No
matter what I do it will not display an image.

Anyone got a quick fix on how to resolve this?

Unfortunately, I don't have a System restore point at this time as I was
moving data about and had reset the points. Doh !

thx

Paul, If I rt click on the jpg image I have an option to "open with"
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. From there if I rt click on the Image
I get a option to Set as Desktop Background. You don't get these options?

Make sure Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced (tab) / Mutimedia
section / Show pictures is check boxed. I turned that off once so text
based web pages would load quickly and found out it killed my wallpaper. BK
