Desktop Names

I was woundering how you force the names of files and
folders to display the full names without the ... that
some of my items seem to have?

There may be a more global method, but if you set your mouse for
single-click file opening, then, when you hover the cursor, the full name
will appear.
To set the mouse to single-click,

You will have to alter the Desktop setup in Control
Panel\Display\Appearance\Advanced and play with the icon spacing.
