Hi:
How do I make the titles underneath my desktop icons
transparent? They were that way once, now they're
colored.

If you right click your desktop and highlight "arrange
icons by" a new menu pops up. Check to see if the box
next to "lock web items on desktop" is checked. If so,
uncheck and your icon titles are again clear....phal

I have the same problem. Did you get an answer?

Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance/Settings/ Visual
Effects/"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop". If this still
doesn't do the trick, right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and
make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked
